Nowhere Baths at Dempsey Hill
In a city where schedules are stacked and serenity feels like a luxury, all we need is a form of stillness. Nowhere Baths, Singapore’s newest wellness space, offers exactly that. Tucked away in the leafy enclave of Dempsey Hill, this newly opened bathhouse reimagines rest as a ritual instead of a reward.
The concept comes from the team behind Palm Ave Float Club, Singapore’s longtime floatation therapy pioneers, so it’s no surprise that this next act leans deeply into slow living, sensory retreat, and design that invites you to do absolutely nothing.
Architecture Inspired by nature’s cavernous calm

Nowhere Baths is a modern sanctuary brought to life by Type 0 Architecture, a renowned Singapore-based interdisciplinary studio celebrated for their nature-inspired designs. The bathhouse offers a tranquil space that invites guests to reconnect with themselves and nature.
The architecture of Nowhere Baths promotes a sense of calm through its softly curved walls and organic, cave-like nooks, enveloping visitors in a space that feels grounded and expansive. The absence of sharp angles and the seamless flow between rooms create a gentle continuity, allowing for an uninterrupted experience of serenity. This harmonious design is complemented by strategic windows that frame the lush greenery surrounding the space. You’ll find that the natural atmosphere is further enhanced by the surrounding botanical landscaping, curated by Pudica.

Inside, the design invites tactile exploration with a harmonious mix of rough textures and smooth finishes. Surfaces of stone and wood add warmth, creating a sophisticated yet comfortable environment. The neutral color palette—dominated by soft beiges, warm browns, and creamy whites—enhances the natural light, casting soft shadows that lend depth and softness to the space.
Natural light plays a crucial role in elevating the experience at Nowhere Baths, with round skylights designed to illuminate key areas. The light filters through, creating subtle contrasts and highlighting the organic shapes of the interior, making the space feel both inviting and expansive. It’s this interplay between light and architecture that deepens the connection to the surrounding natural world, enhancing the sense of inner peace.

The layout is equally important, encouraging an intuitive flow from one area to the next. The design promotes openness and freedom, with each space designed to encourage quiet contemplation or intimate conversation.
As the team behind Nowhere Baths puts it, “We believe in the power of simple rituals, done well, in natural environments. This is a place to unplug, unwind, and embrace idleness—because rest is not a luxury, it’s a necessity.” With its thoughtfully crafted spaces, Nowhere Baths becomes an immersive escape into a world where the demands of daily life fade away. What you’re left with is peace, presence, and well-being.
Facilities at Nowhere Baths

At Nowhere Baths, the focus is on rejuvenation, from restorative soaks to invigorating plunges. The space is designed as a mixed-gender, communal space. Each bath is carefully designed to balance body and mind, offering a space where wellness is the priority.
There are two different baths here, notably the Epsom Salt Bath and the Cloud Bath. The former is a highlight, filled with magnesium sulfate to ease muscle tension and promote recovery. As the minerals are absorbed through the skin, they work their magic, relaxing tight muscles and calming the nervous system. This bath is perfect for anyone seeking relief from stress or post-workout fatigue.

Then there’s the Cloud Bath. Infused with nanobubble technology, it uses ultra-fine, oxygen-rich bubbles to cleanse pores deeply, boost circulation, and support skin renewal. The sensation of weightlessness and the fresh, airy texture of the water create a truly unique experience, leaving you feeling both refreshed and renewed.

For those looking to further their wellness practice, Cold Immersion Therapy is available in two forms: Cold Plunge and Cold Bucket Showers. The 12-13°C plunge stimulates circulation, reduces inflammation, and helps the body recover from stress. Cold exposure has long been praised for its ability to invigorate the mind and body, boosting energy and enhancing overall wellness. For a quicker but equally refreshing cool down, the three Cold Bucket Showers at 19°C provide a brisk, revitalising experience.
Another standout feature of Nowhere Baths is the Outdoor Forest Bathing Deck, a rarity in Singapore. Here, surrounded by lush greenery, guests can connect with nature in a calm, restorative environment. Together with the sauna, steam room, and lounge, the facilities offer a comprehensive wellness experience designed to restore and refresh both body and mind.
