Singapore doesn’t lack for landmark stays—think Capella’s Sentosa seclusion or Raffles’ storied suites. Come 2028, another heavyweight joins the line-up: Aman Singapore, rising within The Skywaters, the city’s soon-to-be tallest skyscraper at 63 storeys. A mix of hotel and private residences, it promises the group’s signature hush of exclusivity. This time, in the clouds.
The Aman story
The name itself sets the tone: Aman means “peace” in Sanskrit, a fitting banner for a brand built on quietude. Each property is deliberately intimate, pared-back in design yet rooted in place — minimalist lines that let landscapes do the talking, whether that’s jungle, desert, or UNESCO-protected heritage.
The story began in 1988 on Phuket’s west coast, where hotelier Adrian Zecha opened Amanpuri, a discreet cluster of pavilions by the sea. From there came Amansara in Cambodia, and an expansion that now counts 35 addresses worldwide — from desert encampments to urban sanctuaries, always with the same calm pulse at the centre.
High above Marina Bay in The Skywaters
Unlike Amankila’s cliffside seclusion or Amanpuri’s Phuket pavilions, Aman Singapore will be a city address — joining the brand’s urban set alongside Tokyo and Dubai. Its home: The Skywaters, a 63-storey tower now rising at the junction of the CBD, Marina Bay and the future Greater Southern Waterfront.
Billed as Singapore’s tallest skyscraper, the mixed-use development layers Grade A offices, luxury residences, retail, and, crowning it all, an ultra-luxury hotel carrying the Aman name. Expect the brand’s trademark hush, but this time set against a skyline of glass and steel.

Aman Singapore continues the brand’s design DNA: pared-back elegance, rooted in place. Long-time collaborators Kerry Hill Architects are behind the project, drawing on the city’s Black and White bungalows for inspiration. Think layered textures, natural materials, and the kind of generous proportions that create a sense of calm rather than grandeur.

The tower will also host a members-only Aman Club, part of the brand’s growing global network. Aman Club in New York, for example, is often touted as the most expensive private members’ club in NYC. Closer to home, the most recent outpost at Aman Nai Lert Bangkok set the tone with club spaces, an open-air terrace, restaurants, a cigar bar, and a lounge that shifts from Italian coffee by day to Japanese-inspired cocktails by night. Entry is by invitation only, giving members privileged access to Aman’s hotels, resorts, and future properties worldwide.

Alongside the club, expect a limited collection of branded residences with views across the city and South China Sea, plus the brand’s first Aman Spa in Singapore. The spa will take over a full floor with infinity pool and treatment suites. Several of Aman’s signature dining concepts are also set to make their debut here, rounding out what promises to be a true urban sanctuary.
The next chapter in the Aman story
By 2028, Aman’s distinct hush of luxury will find a new home above Singapore’s skyline. Rising within The Skywaters, the brand’s first urban retreat in the city promises not just another hotel opening, but a redefinition of how calm and craft can coexist in the heart of a metropolis. For those already charting future stays, this will be one to watch.
