Porsche at Jewel Changi Airport is a new prestige experience arriving in 2025

It’s hard to beat Changi Airport’s bougie status, especially with the designer boutiques and facilities like swimming pool and indoor butterfly garden. And yet, Jewel Changi Airport is set to welcome another luxury heavyweight. In the second half of 2025, Porsche at Jewel will make its debut, further cementing the German automaker’s presence in Singapore’s high-end retail scene.

This is an immersive brand experience like no other. And it’s designed for Porsche enthusiasts, shoppers, and travellers looking for more than just a pit stop.

Rotating displays of automobiles, café & lifestyle boutique

When Porsche at Jewel opens, don’t expect a typical car showroom. Instead, you’ll find a dynamic rotating display of Porsche’s most coveted models, giving visitors an up-close look at the brand’s legendary design and engineering.

The experience then extends into culinary and retail experiences. Expect artisanal treats at a Baker & Cook café, while a Porsche Design and Lifestyle boutique will showcase a curated selection of fashion, accessories, and collectibles.

Unlike a traditional dealership, the focus at Porsche at Jewel isn’t about selling cars–it’s about bringing the Porsche experience to life. Through design, performance, and craftsmanship, the space offers an engaging way for enthusiasts and casual visitors alike to immerse themselves in the world of the Stuttgart-based icon.

Not Porsche’s first collaboration with Changi Airport

Porsche and Changi Airport Group have a history of bringing high-octane experiences to the iconic travel hub. In 2021, the “Driving Tomorrow” pop-up took centre stage, tracing the automaker’s storied past while highlighting its advancements in electrification and sustainability.

Last year, Porsche returned with another bold activation–an exclusive Vision Gran Turismo concept car showcase at Jewel’s Rain Vortex. The highlight? A one-of-a-kind art car, featuring Belgian artist Vexx’s signature street-style illustrations splashed across the sleek lines of the Porsche Vision Gran Turismo. The striking design, set against the dramatic backdrop of the HSBC Rain Vortex, showcased the fusion of advanced automotive design and modern digital artistry.

What is Porsche & what is it known for?

Founded in 1931 by Ferdinand Porsche, the German luxury automaker has built a legacy around high-performance sports cars. As a subsidiary of Volkswagen AG, Porsche is revered for models like the iconic 911, the all-electric Taycan, and the agile 718 series–each embodying the brand’s commitment to performance and precision engineering.

Beyond the road, Porsche’s dominance in motorsport, from multiple Le Mans victories to its success in Formula E, cements its reputation as a leader in automotive innovation.

Porsche deepens its presence in Singapore

porsche jewel changi 2Image: Porsche

Beyond Porsche at Jewel, the automotive powerhouse has been deepening its presence in Singapore. The Porsche Studio Singapore, which opened in February last year, introduced a sleek showroom concept to Guoco Midtown, spanning 8,500 square feet across two storeys. Designed as a contemporary retail space, it offers an elevated way for enthusiasts to engage with the brand beyond the traditional dealership experience.

With its world-class infrastructure, discerning clientele, and an expanding network of immersive brand spaces, Singapore is a natural fit for Porsche’s vision. When Porsche at Jewel opens in 2025, it won’t just be a showcase—it will be an experience. A space where design, performance, and heritage converge, further cementing the city’s status as a hub for high-performance automobiles and luxury culture.

Explore Saudi Arabia’s newest marvel: a luxury hotel carved into the Hejaz Mountains featuring cliff-hanging villas and private pools

If the desert calls to you, whispering through the dunes like a prophecy, then consider this your own Lisan al Gaib moment. Desert Rock, a new high-end property, has just opened in Saudi Arabia. Rising from the ancient Hejaz Mountains, a rugged western range shaped by tectonic shifts and volcanic stirrings, it’s a resort unlike any other.

Desert Rock is part of the sweeping Red Sea development, a tourism initiative that aims to diversify the economy by developing luxury tourism destinations. Designed by Miami-based Oppenheim Architecture, this ambitious retreat is literally embedded in stone, blending seamlessly with the arid landscape. Expect cliff-hanging villas, private pools, and an experience that feels less like a hotel stay and more like stepping into an epic sci-fi saga.

Echoing the legacy of the Nabataeans, but with a five-star twist

Saudi Arab Luxury Hotel - Resort ViewImage: Desert Rock

Desert Rock Resort is not just an architectural feat. It’s a love letter to the Nabataean civilisation, an ancient Arab kingdom that once commanded the trade routes from the Hejaz to the Mediterranean. While their legacy is most famously etched into Petra’s sandstone cliffs, the civilisation’s influence extended deep into the Arabian Peninsula, including the very terrain this resort now calls home.

Saudi Arab Luxury Hotel - Resort Pool and mountain viewImage: Desert Rock

Just a four-hour drive from Hegra—once the southernmost Nabataean city and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site—Desert Rock channels the ingenuity of these master stone carvers. Villas and communal spaces are sculpted into the cliffs. The result? An architectural homage to an ancient civilisation, except this time, the rock-hewn dwellings come with private pools and a personal villa host.

Integrating architecture with nature

Saudi Arab Luxury Hotel - Resort Pool ViewImage: Desert Rock

At Desert Rock, architecture doesn’t compete with the landscape—it becomes part of it. Guests enter through a concealed valley, where the resort’s design slowly reveals itself. Every structure is sculpted into the mountains, dissolving into the rugged terrain while minimising visual impact.

Saudi Arab Luxury Hotel - RoomImage: Desert Rock

The resort takes sustainability as seriously as its refinement. Excavated materials have been repurposed into infrastructure, passive cooling keeps things naturally comfortable, and high-tech efficiency ensures a lighter footprint.

Even the greenery has been thoughtfully reintroduced, turning the wadi into a flourishing oasis. After all, nothing says eco-conscious indulgence like a resort that restores the very land it inhabits.

Dramatic villas carved into the Hejaz Mountains

Saudi Arab Luxury Hotel - BathroomImage: Desert Rock

If you’ve ever dreamed of living like an ancient desert ruler—minus the hardship, plus temperature-controlled pools—Desert Rock delivers on every front. The accommodation here is no ordinary hotel suite. Instead, think villas carved into the very fabric of the Hejaz Mountains.

The resort boasts 32 Wadi Villas, nestled within the valley floor, offering expansive living spaces and private pools. For those who prefer their luxury with a side of vertigo, 17 Cliff Hanging Villas jut out from the mountainside, defying gravity with sweeping views of the wadi below. Meanwhile, the Mountain Crevice Villas (four in total) are discreetly tucked into the rock face, offering a more intimate, cocoon-like retreat. And then there are 10 Mountain Cave Suites, which take “embedded in nature” to another level, quite literally carved into the stone itself.

Saudi Arab Luxury Hotel - BalconyA Mountain Cave Suite.
Image: Desert Rock

But for the ultimate in desert decadence, the Royal Villa reigns supreme. Located in a secluded part of the valley, it’s designed for guests who prefer their privacy uninterrupted. Whatever your villa of choice, expect interiors by Studio Paolo Ferrari, where earthy hues, bronze-brown accents, and locally sourced stone create a warm, sophisticated aesthetic.

And because no desert retreat is complete without seamless service, each villa comes with a dedicated Villa Host, contactable via WhatsApp to cater to your every whim. A fresh date platter at sunset? Consider it done.

The Desert Rock Resort awaits

Saudi Arab Luxury Hotel - outside view highImage: Desert Rock

Of course, it’s not just about lounging in your villa—Desert Rock offers plenty to explore. Guests can unwind at the spa, dine at four high-end restaurants, or take on ziplining, via ferrata, abseiling, and archery, with more activities planned for 2025. Plus, it’s accessible, located just a 20-minute drive from Red Sea International Airport.

Bookings are now open on the Desert Rock website, with rates starting from SAR 8,500 (S$3,021.74) for a one-bedroom Wadi Villa and SAR 10,100 (S$3,590.54) for a Mountain Crevice Villa. Whether you’re scaling rock faces or simply soaking up the desert views from your private plunge pool, one thing’s for certain—this is an immersion into a world where nature, history, and prestige collide spectacularly.

Step into a real-life whodunit at Cempedak Island’s Murder Mystery Weekend

If The White Lotus has taught us anything, it’s that luxury resorts are the perfect backdrop for secrets, scandals, and the occasional whodunit. And while you won’t find Jennifer Coolidge lamenting in a caftan at Cempedak Island’s inaugural Murder Mystery Weekend, you can step into your own high-society thriller at the resort’s latest event, happening from 11th to 13th April.

Set on an ultra-exclusive private island off the coast of Bintan, this immersive experience swaps poolside ennui for cryptic clues, shadowy motives, and a weekend of decadent sleuthing. The only question is: will you solve the mystery, or become part of it?

Where is Cempedak Island?

cempedak island

Image: Cempedak Island

First, a quick introduction. Tucked away off the coast of Bintan, Cempedak Island is a 17-hectare private sanctuary. The adults-only retreat is a place where busy city dwellers can get in touch with nature. Think white-sand beaches, sculpted granite boulders, and dense tropical forests home to wildlife.

The island’s bamboo villas, with their curved thatched roofs and open-air design, blur the line between indoors and out. Each comes with a private plunge pool and expansive decks, ensuring uninterrupted views of the surrounding waters.

And here’s a bonus: Cempedak Island has strict no-guests-under-15 and no-crowds policies. It’ll just be the sound of waves, rustling palm trees, and the occasional call of a hornbill overhead.

A Murder Mystery Weekend on Cempedak Island

cempedak island 2Image: Cempedak Island

With a setting so serene, you’d hardly expect anything suspicious to unfold. But that’s exactly what awaits. In fact, the game begins before you even set foot on Cempedak Island. Guests who board the 11.10am ferry from Singapore to Bintan on 11th April might receive their first cryptic clue, setting the tone for a weekend of mystery, deception, and discovery.

Upon arrival, actors from Evolve School of Performing Arts go incognito among the island’s staff and guests, their roles hidden until the chilling revelation of a murder on the first night. From that moment on, every guest becomes both investigator and suspect.

cempedak island 3

Image: Cempedak Island

Saturday plays out like a detective novel brought to life. Participants scour the island for clues, interrogate suspects, and connect the dots. The events of the day will lead up to a communal dinner where theories are debated, alliances are formed, and suspicions mount.

Adventure and nature beyond the mystery

Of course, even the most dedicated investigators will need a breather. In between the interrogations, Cempedak Island’s landscapes provide a striking contrast to the unfolding mystery. Participants of the Murder Mystery Weekend can spend the day soaking in the private plunge pools of their villa, indulging in gourmet island fare, or sipping cocktails by the sea.

cempedak island 4

The island also offers a guided walking trail through lush rainforest, rock climbing on a natural boulder, kayaking at sunset, and ample opportunities for wildlife encounters. Look out for marine life like sea otters, turtles, and the elusive Irrawaddy dolphins—there’s plenty to marvel at between sleuthing sessions.

How to get to Cempedak Island from Singapore?

Your journey to Cempedak Island begins at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal, where a high-speed catamaran whisks you to Bintan Resorts (Bandar Bentan Telani) in under an hour. Upon arrival, a private driver will welcome you and take you on a one-hour car ride across Bintan. From there, it’s a 30-minute speedboat ride to Cempedak Island.

In total, the trip takes approximately 2 hours 30 minutes door-to-door. A round-trip transfer, inclusive of the car journey, speedboat, and VIP lounge access at Bintan Ferry Terminal, is priced at S$100 per adult. Ferries can be booked at www.brf.com.sg.

With a journey this smooth, you’ll be in paradise before you know it.

Be part of the plot at Cempedak Island’s Murder Mystery Weekend

If the thought of a weekend filled with suspense and barefoot luxury has you intrigued, Cempedak Island’s Murder Mystery Weekend is one to mark on the calendar. Rates start at S$1,845 per villa for single occupancy, S$2,200 per villa for double occupancy, and S$3,156 per villa for triple occupancy.

The package includes two nights’ accommodation, three gourmet meals per day, return transfers from Bintan Ferry Terminal to Cempedak Island, and a fully immersive whodunit, hosted by professional actors from Evolve School of Performing Arts. Plus, there’s still time to soak in the island’s untouched beauty while the plot thickens.

From runway to ROI: 10 iconic designer handbags that are worth every penny and more

From Hermès to Chanel, these iconic pieces aren’t just fashion statements – they’re smart investments for those who appreciate fine craftsmanship and lasting value.

Luxury handbags have gone from fashion must-haves to smart investments. From Hermès’ legendary Birkin to Chanel’s iconic Flap Bag, these timeless pieces aren’t just sitting pretty in your closet—they’re growing in value. With the right handbag, you’re not only carrying a chic accessory but you’re also making a savvy financial move. As fashion and finance continue to overlap, here’s why investing in a designer handbag could be an equally smart and stylish move.

1. Hermès Birkin

A classic structured silhouette inspired by actress Jane Birkin

hermes birkin

Image: Hermès

The Hermès Birkin isn’t just a handbag—it’s one of the most valuable fashion investments in the world. Prices climb year after year, with rare editions appreciating faster than stocks. The story began in 1984 when Jane Birkin mentioned to Hermès CEO Jean-Louis Dumas that she needed a bag that was both stylish and practical. That conversation sparked the creation of what is now the most exclusive and valuable handbag in the world.

The holy grail? The Himalaya Crocodile Diamond Birkin, which sold for over $450,000 at Sotheby’s in 2022. Other collector favorites, like the all-black So Black Birkin or the Faubourg Birkin inspired by Parisian rooftops, are just as coveted. Snagging one isn’t just a flex: it’s a financial power move. Securing a Birkin is no simple feat, though. With no official waitlist, the process takes months or even years. After all, each bag is handcrafted by expert artisans, requiring 48 hours of meticulous craftsmanship.

Resale value: Retains 80 to 120 percent of retail value
Resale price range: $15,000 to $250,000

2. Louis Vuitton Speedy

A favourite of Audrey Hepburn for its compact size

louis vuitton speedy

Image: Getty Images/Bettmann

The Louis Vuitton Speedy is proof that great style never goes out of fashion. Designed in the 1930s as a downsized version of the Keepall, it became an instant classic. Its true icon status came in the 1960s, when Audrey Hepburn requested an even smaller version: the now-legendary Speedy 25. Lightweight, practical, and instantly recognisable for its Monogram canvas, the Speedy has remained a go-to for generations of fashion lovers.

Unlike other investment-worthy handbags, the Speedy is relatively affordable, making it an accessible entry point into luxury collecting. Standard models are usually in stock at Louis Vuitton boutiques, but limited editions—like the Takashi Murakami collaborations or rare vintage pieces—fetch impressive resale prices.

Resale value: Retains a good portion, but only the limited edition or rare versions will appreciate
Resale price range: Typically $540 to $2,000; more than $2,700 for rare or discontinued editions

3. Chanel 2.55

The first-ever handbag to feature a shoulder strap

chanel 2.55

Image: Getty Images/Edward Berthelot

Some bags are trendy, but the Chanel 2.55 is timeless. Created by Coco Chanel herself in February 1955, this classic was a game-changer, with its shoulder strap offering the freedom to go hands-free—something that was unheard of at the time. The 2.55’s rectangular Mademoiselle lock adds a touch of personal flair, as Chanel herself preferred a sleek, minimalist design over big logos.

With its signature quilted pattern, inspired by the jackets of stable boys, the 2.55 has become the ultimate symbol of chic. And if you’re lucky enough to own a vintage piece in a classic color, you’re in for a treat—these handbags have only gotten more valuable over time, making them one of the most desirable investments in fashion today.

Resale value: Holds value well, with vintage models increasing in price over time
Resale price range: $3,400 to $8,100; up to $20,000 for vintage editions

4. Hermès Kelly

Renamed after Princess Grace Kelly used it to shield her baby bump from paparazzi

hermes kelly

Image: Instagram/alwaysgracekelly and Sotheby’s

The Hermès Kelly handbag is a true icon with a fascinating backstory. Originally called the Sac à Dépêches in the 1930s, it became known as the Kelly after Princess Grace Kelly famously used it to discreetly hide her pregnancy in 1956. Known for its trapezoidal shape and sleek top handle, each Kelly is carefully crafted, taking between 18 to 25 hours to make.

It’s available in two styles: Sellier which is more structured, and Retourne, with soft, rounded edges. The Kelly comes in luxurious leathers like Togo, Epsom, and exotic options like crocodile. Interestingly, each bag comes with its own lock and key—the keys are stored in a leather clochette attached to the handle. While the bags are available at boutiques, customers typically need a strong purchase history and should expect long wait times due to the exclusivity of the brand.

Resale value: High, often appreciates significantly for rare or limited-edition models

Resale price range: $12,000 to $50,000; over $150,000 for exotic leather or rare versions

5. Lady Dior

Often touted around by Princess Diana and renamed in her honour

lady dior

Image: Dior

The Lady Dior handbag has always been a statement of understated luxury. first introduced in 1995 as the “Chouchou,” it became the Lady Dior after Princess Diana was spotted carrying it—making it the ultimate “it bag” almost overnight. With its signature Cannage quilting that’s uniquely inspired by Napoleon III chairs, it’s not just a bag, but a piece of history.

Each Lady Dior is made from over 140 pieces, assembled with impeccable attention to detail. While you can find them at Dior boutiques, landing a seasonal design takes a bit of luck. And with collaborations from artists like Olafur Eliasson and Kaws, the Lady Dior continues to be a coveted, art-inspired piece that only gets more desirable with time.

Resale value: High, especially for limited editions or vintage pieces
Resale price range: $4,000 to $8,000; more than $15,000 for rare pieces

6. Chanel Classic Flap

A reinterpretation by Karl Lagerfeld of the original 2.55 bag

chanel classic flap

Image: Getty Images

The Chanel Classic Flap is one of the most coveted handbags in the fashion world, and it’s easy to see why. Originally designed by Coco Chanel in 1955, it got its signature twist in 1983 when Karl Lagerfeld added the iconic interlocking “CC” lock, tapping into the 1980s craze for flaunting luxury.

But it’s not just about the logo—inside, there’s a hidden love letter pocket, a little secret Chanel herself used to stash notes. The diamond quilting, inspired by jockey jackets, gives it that perfect mix of style and substance. Whether you wear it on your shoulder, across your body, or just carry it in your hand, the Classic Flap never looks out of place. And let’s be honest, the black caviar leather with gold hardware? It’s practically the gold standard in luxury handbags.

Resale value: Exceptionally high
Resale price range: $8,000 to $12,000; more than $30,000 for rare editions

7. Goyard St. Louis

A bag that has never been advertised

designer handbags: goyard st louis

Image: Stockholm Streetstyle

The Goyard St. Louis is a bag that speaks volumes without saying a word. Known for its timeless elegance, this bag has never relied on flashy advertising or celebrity endorsements to make its mark. Goyard has always kept things low-key—no ads, no billboards, just word of mouth and a loyal following of those in the know.

The bag’s chevron pattern, individually hand-painted on each piece, means that no two St. Louis bags are alike. It’s also reversible, offering two looks in one: the signature Goyard canvas or a sleek plain linen interior. With no overt branding, it’s the kind of luxury that quietly stands out, making a statement without needing to shout.

Resale value: Retains a good portion, with rare colours or customisations appreciating in value
Resale price range: $1,800 to $4,500

8. Louis Vuitton Neverfull

Resale price range: $1,600 to $4,700

9. Fendi Baguette

The very first “It” bag

designer handbags: fendi baguette

The Fendi Baguette is a bag that needs no introduction, especially if you’re a fan of Sex and the City. As Carrie Bradshaw famously declared, “It’s not a bag, it’s a Baguette,” and with that line, she turned this little number into a cultural phenomenon. That moment sparked an obsession with statement handbags, and the Baguette was at the heart of it.

Since its debut, this iconic bag has come in over 1,000 different styles—from beaded and sequined versions to exotic leathers—giving endless options for customization. Originally designed to be tucked under the arm like a true baguette, it was ahead of its time, making mini bags the ultimate accessory long before they became a trend.

Resale value: Holds value well, especially vintage pieces
Resale price range: $2,500 to $8,000

10. Loewe Puzzle Bag

Origami-inspired structure with hand-stitched panels

designer handbags: loewe puzzle bag

The Loewe Puzzle Bag is the handbag that’s had everyone talking since its debut in 2015. Its geometric, cubist-inspired panels give it a striking, sculptural form, but don’t be deceived—the bag is incredibly soft and supple despite its structure. Each piece requires 75 meticulous steps to assemble, showcasing Loewe’s dedication to craftsmanship.

What sets the Puzzle Bag apart is its versatility. It can be worn five different ways: crossbody, shoulder, as a backpack, hand-held, or as a clutch. Set sail with Guntû, a 5-star luxury yacht-ryokan with private onsens and unlimited omakase

Cruise holidays don’t always have the best reputation, but Guntû is here to change that. This 5-star floating ryokan is the ultimate seafaring luxury, gliding across the tranquil Seto Inland Sea with just 38 guests on board. The result is an intimate, deeply refined experience far removed from conventional cruises.

Named after a native blue crab of the Setouchi region, Guntû pays homage to Japan’s inland sea, where 3,000 islands, rugged coastlines, and mountain vistas set the scene for an extraordinary voyage. With private onsens, unlimited omakase, and seamless Japanese hospitality, this is a cruise designed for those who prefer their travels slow, scenic, and exquisitely curated.

Three-storey “floating ryokan” imbued with Japanese craftsmanship

Guntû is a three-storey vessel crafted with the precision of an upscale boutique hotel. Spanning 82 metres, its sleek silver hull mirrors the shifting hues of the sea, creating a seamless blend with the Seto Inland landscape.

The ship’s nine wood-panelled cabins and common spaces reflect a profound reverence for Japanese craftsmanship—unsurprising, given that they were designed by Yasushi Horibe, the acclaimed architect renowned for his use of natural materials and clean lines.

A recipient of the 2016 Architectural Institute of Japan Prize, Horibe brings his signature minimalism to Guntû, where warm hinoki wood, expansive glass panels, and intentional negative space evoke the quiet serenity of a traditional ryokan. The result? A floating sanctuary that feels more like a contemporary design hotel than a conventional cruise ship.

Tranquil cabins that blur the line between the indoors and outdoors

Guntû’s 19 ocean-view cabins are inspired by traditional ryokans—seamless wood panelling, soft lighting, and a pared-back aesthetic that prioritises serenity. Each suite opens onto a private terrace, positioned low to the water’s surface, immersing guests in the ebb and flow of the ocean.

For the most exclusive stay, The Guntû Suite offers an unrivalled perspective. Spanning 90 square metres above the bow, it’s the only cabin with forward-facing windows, giving guests scenic views in two directions. The design amplifies the vastness of the open sea, creating a sense of quiet seclusion that’s rare even among luxury cruises.

Meanwhile, the Terrace Suite with Open-Air Bath is all about intimacy. Of the four categories, this one has the bed placed closest to the window. Uninterrupted views of the ocean make the sea feel like an extension of the room. The highlight, though, is a private open-air bath that allows guests to soak under the sky while drifting through Japan’s scenic coastal waters.

High-end wellness and dining experiences at sea

While the suites offer a private retreat, Guntû’s onboard amenities make stepping out just as tempting. The philosophy here is simple: guests can have what they want, as much as they want. That extends to Washoku, a six-seat sushi bar where seasonal seafood is prepared before you, and the Japanese confectionery counter at the Lounge, where delicate sweets are best paired with a freshly whisked cup of matcha.

Bathed in soft natural light filtering through traditional paper screens, the Lounge is a space to pause—whether with a book, quiet conversation, or simply to watch the shifting scenery unfold. Meanwhile, the Café & Bar serves cocktails inspired by the surrounding islands, best enjoyed from the Open Deck, sheltered beneath Guntû’s distinctive gable roof.

For a more meditative experience, the Engawa terraces, modelled after traditional Japanese verandas, offer a retreat with seasonal treats, sake, and light snacks. Here, hinoki wood benches overlook the sea, creating a setting reminiscent of a Zen rock garden.

Where else can you break a sweat with panoramic ocean views as your backdrop?

For a deeper state of relaxation, the spa area is a sanctuary in itself. It features treatment rooms, a rest area, and a gym fitted with Technogym equipment–all wrapped in floor-to-ceiling glass for expansive seascapes.

But the true highlight? The communal bathhouse. Unlike onsens overlooking the coastline, this one immerses you in the heart of the Seto Inland Sea. Hinoki cypress bathtubs and saunas offer a tranquil soak, while the water outside shifts with the sky–blurring the line between the vessel and the vast ocean.

Sail into stillness with Guntû

Aboard Guntû, the journey is just as captivating as the destination. Departing from Onomichi City, this floating ryokan charts a course through Setouchi waters, where thousands of islands rise from the water like scattered brushstrokes on a vast canvas.

With seven to eight routes to choose from, each two- to three-night voyage offers a different perspective of this storied seascape. Some itineraries drift past Naoshima, the famed “art island” home to Yayoi Kusama’s dotted pumpkins and world-class museums, while others take a quieter approach, meandering through lesser-known islets and tranquil fishing villages.

Beyond the ship’s serenity, guests can step ashore for off-boat excursions, including early morning walking tours that offer an intimate glimpse into the daily rhythms of the Setouchi region. Whether admiring historic shrines, strolling through sleepy port towns, or simply watching the tide roll in, each stop echoes the art of unhurried living.

For those seeking an experience that is as much about stillness as it is about discovery, Guntû is an invitation to immerse yourself in the quiet beauty of Japan’s inland sea.
